Rubbish! He wants to be King alright, but just on his own terms. He wants all the luxury without having to work, all the rights and no responsibilities. He's a con artist who wants to garner sympathy so he can have his own way. That is, so that he and Waity can do as they please, which means the bare minimum of work, whilst still living in luxury at the taxpayer expense.
If there is a scintilla of truth to this, it's because he is gay and cannot be free to be who he is, IMO.

Thanks, Ceri and great post. This is so accurate: 'PW always tries to paint himself the victim of his circumstance.' What disturbs me is that he is very sly and shifty about it. And quite right again: he cannot 'wait' to be King! You can just tell by reading between his lines that he's a control freak - and he admits to not taking advice from the courtiers, for no other reason that rebellion. The only reason he listens to the Queen is because, really, he has no choice. She's the reigning sovereign. I know it sounds cruel, but I'll just bet he won't shed a tear when she dies, ditto for his father. He wants the "top job" so he throw his weight around with Waity doing nothing but lay on her lazy backside. Plus, the Queen clearly lets him have enough rope so that he can hang himself ... he knows this and revels in it, IMO. I really hope that bit about the Queen 'skipping' at the wedding isn't true. Why is there all this spin? If the Queen is so happy with Kate, why haven't they EVER been pictured together in public - apart from that hideous dress display? The evidence at hand paints a very different picture from the cheap words we get ... IMO, Her Majesty would have made it unequivocally clear that she supported Kate long before now. She was even photographed with Autumn Phillips on the cruise boat prior to engagement.

I think the Courtiers were so drugged up on the wedding day that they were hallucinating and along with HM skipping they also saw rainbows and unicorns
